Creative Spaces

This post from Remodelista is on homework spaces that are meant to inspire creativity. If you look at all of these, what do they have in common?

  • White space, or at least space that isn't cluttered with stuff.
  • A place to sit, but not on furniture that is particularly soft. These are spaces for working, not relaxing.
  • Some (but not too many) visuals.
  • Surfaces to write or draw on - desks, but also blackboards or bulletin boards.

Interesting to think about what the takeaway for libraries might be - particularly as making and creativity becomes more of a focus.
